The journey up provides breathtaking panoramic views stretching over the rugged outlet glaciers of Vatnajökull glacier and over the vast sandy plains of the glaciated rivers below.
No special technical skills are required but the hike is physically challenging. From midsummer, conditions may change forcing us to lower the number of guests per guide.

The slopes are excellent, constantly steep down to about 700 meters where they gradually start leveling out. On the last part of the descent, the skis have to be carried.
