This diversity obviously makes hiking options endless!
Whether you prefer staying near the capital city or moving further away you will have a hard time avoiding hiking trails leading you to intensely beautiful landscapes.

For those further along the hiking trail we can recommend longer hikes lasting for 2 or more days. You can either camp or stay in one of Iceland's many mountain huts situated on several popular hiking routes all around the country.
The most popular hike is without a doubt the Laugavegur hike from Landmannalaugar to Þórsmörk nature reserve. The hike is just around 53 kilometers and takes about 4 days, depending on your hurry to get to the finish line.
